Blue Waters face Unam in Bidvest Cup

Following an exciting 2015 Bidvest Namibia Cup last-32 round that saw 97 goals scored, the remaining 16 teams were on Tuesday in the bowl for the Last-16 round which will be played on the weekend of 27 February.

Blue Waters, after their 11-1 win over Vietnam Rangers in the previous round will now face Premier league side Unam who beat Blue Boys 3-0 in the previous round.

Tigers, who beat Western Stars 25-0 in the previous round, will face another Kavango side this time in Rundu-based Premiership outfit Julinho Sporting FC, while defending champions African Stars have a date against Nampol Omaheke.

Kavango East side Kangweru Black Tops will look to continue their giant-killing spree when they face Premiership side Eleven Arrows in the last-16, following their elimination of Mighty Gunners in the previous round.

Young Chiefs from the Northwest First Division will take on Premiership side Touch & Go, while Black Africa will take on Rebels, the latter having ousted Civics on penalties in the previous round.

Erongo Second Division side Swakopmund FC will take on Premiership side Citizens, while Khomas Second Division side Java-Java will entertain Orlando Pirates.

The Round of 16 matches will be held at Windhoek and Walvis Bay, with times and exact venues to be determined by the organizing committee.

The 2015 Bidvest Namibia Cup man of the match awards will start from the next round. The Round of 16 winners will walk away with a prize of N$ 2000, while N$5 000 has been reserved for the Man of the Match during the final match of the competition, to be voted by the media.

The quarterfinals are set for the weekend of 27-29 March 2015. The semifinal will take place on 24-26 April 2015, while the final will be contested on 30 May at the Sam Nujoma Stadium. – nfa.org.na
